If you haven’t ordered your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus yet, you might be out of luck when it comes to getting one of Apple’s new phones on release day. As pointed out by 9to5Mac, the 6s and 6s Plus are sold out on Apple.com, with September 29th listed as the earliest possible delivery date for anyone making a reservation today.

Although the 6s Plus sold out within days of the announcement, the 6s stock was still kicking around until Monday. That either means that consumers were less frantic about upgrading this year (unlikely), or Apple was able to build up a larger inventory than last year, servicing an even larger crowd than it did during the iPhone 6 launch.
If the latter is true (which seems far more plausible than the former), then Apple is certainly on pace to once again break the sales records that it broke last year when it starts sending out iPhone 6s shipments later this week.
