Beyond the new features and enhancements in Apple’s latest mobile software update, the company has detailed numerous bugs, flaws and exploits that have been addressed in iOS 8.4.

The company has also addresses several big security flaws in OS X 10.10.4 Yosemite, which was released for Mac computers on Tuesday as well.

In two separate security documents — one for iOS 8.4 and one for OS X 10.10.4 — Apple has detailed dozens of security flaws that have been fixed in its latest software releases. The holes range from minor to quite serious, and users are advised to update their computers and mobile devices immediately.

Among the flaws that have been addressed are the firmware bug that could allow hackers to insert a permanent back door in Mac computers, as well as a serious vulnerability in the Mail app on iOS devices that could allow attackers to steal your login credentials.

Macworld has more details on several other important fixes.

To update your mobile devices to iOS 8.4, simply open your Settings app and tap General, then Software Update. On Mac computers, the Yosemite update will appear in the Mac App Store.
