Earlier this year, Netflix announced that it would begin recommending smart TVs that were actually worth the price of admission. These TVs would be fast, functional and, most importantly, play Netflix as well as any other device on the market. Three months after the announcement of the program, Netflix is finally ready to recommend the first TVs carrying its official seal of approval.

Here are the three sets of televisions that Netflix recommends:
- LG 4K UHD TVs w/ webOS 2.0
- Sony Android Full HDTVs
- Roku TVs from Hisense, Insignia, and TCL
“We’re particularly excited about the Instant On functionality supported by Roku TVs and the Sony Android Full HDTVs,” write Brady Gunderson and David Holland on the Netflix blog. “These TVs wake up quickly, remembering where you left off, similar to how smartphones and tablets behave today.”
LG’s 4K TVs are also well-equipped to handle current-gen streaming services like Netflix through optimizations made within webOS 2.0.
Netflix expects even more recommendations to make their way on to this list in the coming months. If you want to stay up-to-date, be sure to add the official Netflix Recommended TVs page to your bookmark list — it’ll be continuously updated as Netflix adds new TVs.
