Sorry, some readers need it spelled out as we’ve learned recently… Intel has decided to pop up and crush our dreams once again as they disavow any knowledge of the alleged Mac Tablet packing Intel’s hyped 75 nm Atom processor. Translated comment from Intel Germany as follows:

PCGH-Editor Daniel Waadt was there as well an can attest, that Schwaderer referred to the iPhone as an example for the use of the atom-processor from Intel. The Intel CEO mentioned furthermore, that the display on iPhone 2 would be bigger than on iPhone 1 (although it is already quite big). iPhone 2 is also thinner than iPhone 1.

This in response to misconstrued statements made by Intel Germany’s CEO that made it look like a 720 x 480 Mac-powered touchscreen ultra mobile packing the Intel Atom chip was in the works. Lame. We can only hope that this is a frantic cover up and everything Schwaderer reportedly said is true. Yeah, we’re not holding our breath either.
