OnePlus on Thursday revealed via Facebook and Google+ posts that the One Android handset will be even cheaper than expected in Europe, without specifying an actual price for the device that’s set to be properly unveiled later this month. “Great news for all OnePlus fans in Europe!” the company wrote. “We’re still working out the details, but we can say that the One will be available for under €350.”
The company’s CEO Pete Lau was also quoted saying that “people from Europe have shown a strong interest in our device. Rest assured that the OnePlus One will be priced under 350 euros.”
A few months ago Lau revealed that the phone will cost less than $500, and soon after said that it will actually be priced at less than $400. The company did not reveal One prices in other currencies, and many people assumed that the phone will cost around €400 in Europe. However, from the looks of it, the One will be even cheaper than expected in Europe.
The phone’s main specs have already been unveiled in a series of coordinated announcements, with the company hosting a special media event in China on April 23 to launch the phone. Furthermore, BGR has exclusively reported on one of the first early design images of the One, with Engadget showing screenshots of the special CyanogenMod OS version that will power the handset.
