Samsung is expected to launch a mini version of is Galaxy S5 flagship in the near future. As was the case last year, however, the device doesn’t appear to actually offer high-end specs like the flagship Galaxy S5. While the company has yet to unveil the handset, SamMobile has already obtained hardware details for the Galaxy S5 mini.

The phone is expected to pack a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 720p HD resolution, a Qualcomm processor (likely the quad-core Snapdragon 400 model,) 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 8-megapixel camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, IR blaster, 2100mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat.

The phone is expected to have the same IP67 certification as the Galaxy S5, which would make it water- and dust-resistant, although that’s yet to be confirmed. Also, it’s not clear whether the smaller Galaxy S5 mini will feature a heart rate or fingerprint sensor like its bigger brother, with SamMobile speculating that it’ll likely not have these sensors on board.

Actual pricing details and release dates for the Galaxy S5 mini are not available at this time, but the phone is expected to launch at some point in June. Image showing the device aren’t available either. In addition to the Galaxy S5 mini, the company is also rumored to launch a Galaxy S5 Active and a Galaxy S5 Zoom later this year.
