The next version of Windows Phone is shaping up to be the biggest evolution of Microsoft’s mobile operating system yet. We already know that Cortana, the Windows Phone voice-controlled digital assistant, will have advanced privacy settings for users that want to be in complete control of how much data they share, and we think the official reveal of Cortana will take place at Microsoft’s Build Developer Conference next month, but we still don’t have a clear picture of what Cortana will look like. Until now.
The Verge has received yet another tip about Cortana this week showing off how the assistant will look. In the screenshot below, you can see that Cortana will manifest itself as a small blue circle. We also get a glimpse at some of the settings, such as the ability to turn off suggestions from Cortana, whether or not to track flight information from emails and the option to change the name that Cortana will address you by.
We’ll get a better look at Cortana in action once Windows Phone 8.1 nears release. Until then, we’re stuck with Siri.
