With all of the rumors that were flying around in 2012 and 2013, the wait for Sony and Microsoft’s next-generation consoles was agonizing. It’s not that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will terribly boring, it’s that these exiting new consoles promised features, gameplay and graphics that would blow the older boxes out of the water. So, did the new console generation deliver?
Gamers will continue to hammer the “PlayStation 4 vs. Xbox One” debate ad nauseam, but both consoles offer huge improvements over their predecessors and over each other. Where visuals are concerned though, a number of comparisons suggest that the PS4 indeed has the early lead in the next-gen video game console war.
Just how good are the graphics and other visual elements on the PlayStation 4? A NeoGAF forum user who goes by the name of HolyFridge took some time to show us.
The user fired up Killzone Shadow Fall for the PlayStation 4 and created a series of truly stunning panoramic images by stitching together various screenshots of the game. According to his post, 30 or more images were stitched together to create each panorama.
The results speak for themselves.
