“Thief” is the latest game from Eidos Montreal, and it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest multiplatform releases of early 2014. A reboot of the classic franchise, Thief is a first-person stealth game in which players take control of Garrett, a master thief who steals from the rich and gives to himself.
He acquires his bounty of shiny items through elaborate heists which will offer multiple approaches: pick off everyone in your way, or sneak through the shadows and vanish without a trace. Any cash you keep from a heist can be used to upgrade your weapons or purchase new equipment. Although violence is always an option, you will be able to complete the entire game without killing a single NPC using a variety of tools and non-lethal weapons at Garrett’s disposal. But what’s the fun in that?
Thief will be available for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC on February 25th.
