AOL has just launched a mobile service client exclusively for Windows Mobile devices. The software looks very similar to Yahoo’s GO Mobile, sporting integrated search, maps, email, news, pictures, and more. It looks great, and should be a welcome addition to any device, but its complete lack of AIM integration means that you’ll still have to look elsewhere for your IM needs. That would be fine if there was a stable and functional AIM solution for Windows Mobile, but given the barren playing field, AOL could have brought the house down with an integrated IM solution. Ah well. Something is better than nothing, right? The software should be available shortly as a free download, but you’ll need an AOL account to get up and running.
