In just 4 short years, Firefox, the little web browser that could, has been downloaded over 400 million times. That’s quite an amazing feat for a project with such humble roots. Their user base has more or less doubled every year for the past four, with 120 million regular users. Started as a response to the bloated and stagnant Microsoft Internet Explorer, Firefox has quickly become that standard alternative to anyone looking for a change of pace web-browsing pace. The browser has an amazing host of plug-in support, and its open-source nature allows for incredible development and innovation. Could we see 800 million downloads by this time next year? We wouldn’t put anything past the crazy heads at Mozilla. Just so you know though, we’re still eyin’ Firefox Mobile.
