Galaxy Note 4 will finally bring you the build quality you want from Samsung

Galaxy Note 4 Specs: Metal and Flexible Display

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 4 flagship smartphone will finally have a higher build quality than any of its predecessors – or at least one version of the new phablet supposedly will. Korean publication ET News has learned from sources familiar with the matter that the Galaxy Note 4 will be made of metal, sport a flexible display and pack a 16-megapixel camera with optical image stabilization (OIS).

FROM EARLIER: Galaxy Note 4′s monster specs have already leaked

Samsung is reportedly experimenting with various material choices, including stainless steel, aluminum, magnesium and plastic for the phone’s case, although only the premium Galaxy Note 4 is likely to get a metal case. In other words, plastic will still be part of the Galaxy Note 4’s design, for at least one version of the phablet.

As for its display, it’s not clear how big the Galaxy Note 4’s screen will be at this time, but the publication says Samsung has stepped up flexible display production by more than 50%. A previous report suggested that Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 will come in two versions, one with a flexible display and one with a regular screen, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see a premium Galaxy Note 4 that will have a metal case and flexible display, and a “regular” handset that will feature a plastic case and a non-flexible display – however, that’s just speculation at this point, as Samsung has yet to unveil the handset.

Finally, the camera of the device will be a 16-megapixel shooter with OIS, rather than the 12-megapixel Samsung initially chose.

The Galaxy Note 4 is going to be the first Samsung phablet that will have to face a similarly sized iPhone in stores in September, when both devices are supposed to be unveiled.
