        How can you fix it?
        the only way is to prevante your hand of tuching the antena.
        so or you insulate it, or you put it back into the unit .
        I just cant understaned how Apple gooft on it,they have to have young crew, because any older person know that by tuching the antena of your car it was interfeer with the signal.

      It is the proximity sensor. Your black phone has one too, it’s just harder to see.

    White hot! I like it and have my name on a list at my local Shack. They are giving me $200 for my 3GS. I am aware of the alleged antenna issues and willing to ‘hold it right’. All u Roid tools can keep ur 2nd place, copycat phones. Now go play w them and leave us alone!!

    As a couple others pointed out, there is a strange set of holes above the earpiece on the front of the phone that do not exist on yhr black iPhone 4. It is not the proximity sensor (as that is behind glass). what is this? is the faceplate actually an apple OEM part?

    I have a iphone4. I can only speak to the performance my own phone, not the millions of others. Absolutely no problems with bars, dropped calls or reception.
