Rogers launches the Nokia N97 Mini

Rogers-n97-mini

It looks like Symbian freaks based in Canada who already have the N97 from Bell will be able to get themselves a new plaything this summer, as Rogers is launching the Nokia N97 Mini. The device isn’t actually for sale yet but is rather being shipped out to dealers across the country, but barring any last minute chances it looks like the outright price of the N97 Mini has been set at $499.99 while the 3-year price is $99.99. Anyone planning to get this, or are you going to avoid it just like you would the plague (or N97 for that matter)?

Thanks, anonymous!

Data and Voice plan of $45 minimum to get the $99 Promo Price. It’s too bad this phone isn’t eligible for Unlimited Mobile Browsing like the 5800 is. Both run Symbian 60. Not many people will chose this over other Smartphones. The N97 Mini would be a great phone for UMB, but not a pricier data plan.

What I will avoid like the plague is any carrier that offers 3yr contracts just to get a decent price on a phone. Who in there right mind oblegates themselves to a carrier And one phone for 3 yrs !!

Seeing as it was mentioned its on a Canadian carrier, your post is very crass.

Carriers set these deals, not the subscribers, no matter how much power each individual thinks they wield, the matter is pay up, or sign their plans the carrier sets.
