Brightpoint document reveals upcoming Sprint launch dates

Rumor

A screen grab of the inventory list at Brighpoint reveals the launch dates of some upcoming Sprint phones and serves to further validate some of our previously leaked launch dates. Here is the rundown:

  • Palm Treo Pro: Officially announced for March 15th and listed as such on the document, adding validity to the document. SRP of $549.99.
  • LG Rumor 2: Previously rumored to be hitting the shelves in March, this document suggests that the Rumor 2 may be hitting the shelves on March 15th in Black and possible March 29th in Blue. The bottom of the document is cutoff so this is pure speculation on the blue model.
  • Motorola i580: available starting March 15th. SRP of $269.99.
  • Motorola Stature i9: Already available from Boost Mobile, the i9 may grace the shelves of Sprint on the 15th of March as well. SRP of $299.99.
  • BlackBerry Curve 8350i, camera-less version: Launch date to be determined. SRP of $479.99.

If the launch dates on this document hold true, Sprint will have several new phones for your purchasing pleasure in a mere 10 days. No sign of the Instinct Mini or Pre of course but hey, it’s better than nothing. Hit the jump for the full document.

What’s the hype over a 8350i? Is this another phone that came too late?

  • nanaA

Who cares about these fones? I know not me?? Where is the Niagara for Sprint???
That is what is important to us Sprint Crackberries

Not quite a late product. The 8350i has already been out for a little while now. This new one comes sans a camera making IT departments and high security companies happier

    Posted from BGR Mobile (iPhone).

That Rumor 2 is a disappointment and the Pro is a long time coming but the rest of the releases are for IDEN

sprint is so stupid and ill tell them to there face noone wants those phones your competitors are putting out better phones and here we have sprint putting out some shity phones how about bringing out a bold to sprint or storm something that will be like damn i goota get that phone on sprint instead of sprint moving forward their moving backwards dumb asses.

    Palm Pre, enough said.

  • semicoln

This is a really short sighted list, some of you guys act like this is the whole Sprint line for 2009. All it really shows us is that the Pre won’t be this month, but that cameraless Curve 8350i is important to a number of people.

all of these phone are crap except for the new treo…which is sad because if the new treo doesnt sell, palm will probably go out of business! (can you say…”all your eggs in one basket”) I understand that SPRINT needs to continue selling SOME lackluster phones for lackluster people that only use there phones for…dare i say…calling people! As for the rest of the (new) world…sprint needs to focus on windows enabled phones. throw in an android here and there to keep the “iphone droolers” at bay! Microsoft is stepping it up and are trying to blur the line between the mobile phone and the pc…sprint needs to jump on the bandwagon and take control of the horses…or they will lose half of their coustomers to at&t/apple and this will be an iphone world…yuck!!!

  • TRV$

    @reggie

ever heard of the palm pre? I think sprint will be ok once that comes out.

  • PN2

    @TRV$:
Carriers start making money off new contracts 15 months or so after contract starts. That means Sprint will start seeing first profit from Pre in one and half years.

In six months much cooler phones will be out on other carriers and Pre will be old news. It always happens. If Pre isn’t a mess it will be out on Verizon anyway six months later.

I guess Sprint is preparing to have a big 2Q…

  • Goodbye

I was looking for a good phone on Sprint this month, and i guess there won’t be any.

O well, im off to Verizon now.

    Bye Sprint.

10 years of Service is now going to Verizon!

  • Don Louie

I tried to understand trelee but couldn’t, Goodbye if you leave now you may find yourself wanting to come back after your 1st bill or a few months later when the rest of the ’09 lineup surfaces

  • Aaron

Anyone who thinks Sprint’s current phone lineup sucks (which it does) need only look at the leaked 2009 roadmap of phones coming to Sprint in the next 8 months. These include the Palm Pre, an upgraded Instinct, a Samsung Propel style slider, and the Blackberry Niagara (the Bold).

  • Landon

Um body not to disapoint you or anything but in case you were wondering they still suck!!!! even with the current line up of phones coming out. the only day that they wont have a crappy line up of phones is when it looks likes verizons period

  • michael
