Apple wants to make our lives easier, but it seems that the company is inadvertently making life a little bit more frustrating given the design direction of some of its more recent products.
For starters, we have the iPhone 7 and its lack of a 3.5 mm headphone jack. For users who still aren’t ready to switch over to Lightning-based headphones, Apple opted to solve this problem with an adapter that ships with each new iPhone 7.

Second, Apple earlier this week unveiled a new MacBook Pro with a very intriguing OLED based Touch Bar. Apple’s new MacBook Pro features four Thunderbolt/USB – C ports, which means that you won’t be able to hook up your iPhone to your laptop unless you buy an adapter that Apple will conveniently sell you.
Is this the future? Apple users walking around with dongles and adapters in their pockets? Wasn’t the future supposed to be wireless?
Not to fear, one enterprising and forward-thinking company has come up with a solution to at least one of these problems, however comical it might be.
Meet Uncourage. The cleverly titled company has a new product that, truth be told, I thought was a joke when I first stumbled across it. But, alas!, it’s the real deal
The product is essentially a keychain designed to accommodate the iPhone 7’s new headphone adapter. This way you’ll always have the iPhone dongle on you without having to worry that you might lose it.
The product description reads:
During the recent iPhone 7 launch, Apple announced the removal of the headphone jack. The reasoning behind the change was described as “courage”.
We love the idea of a wireless world, but a lot of the devices we use are still connected by a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Uncourage Plug is a convenient way to carry the dongle around with you so you don’t lose or forget it.
With the promise that you’ll never forget your iPhone headphone adapter again, this puppy is an absolute steal for just $6. It’s also a great way to signal to muggers that you have a new iPhone 7!
Again, the product is very real and if you have the courage to fork over $6 and pull the trigger, the estimate for delivery is mid-November.
