How to stream the huge USA vs. Germany World Cup match on a computer or phone

USA Vs Germany Streaming

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past few weeks, you are well aware of Thursday’s huge World Cup match between USA and Germany. USA is the clear underdog here and Germany has already secured its spot in the round of 16, but the scrappy U.S. team could still advance to the next round with a tie or even a loss in many scenarios (the full details have been explained quite well by The Big Lead).

Do you want to watch the match but you don’t have access to a TV? In this post, we’ll tell you how to stream all the action live to your computer, tablet or smartphone.

First things first: anyone and everyone can stream the USA vs. Germany match to their PCs, tablets and smartphones for free. You do not need a pay TV subscription. The huge caveat, however, is that without a pay TV subscription you might not be able to stream the match (legally) in English.

For those who pay for cable or satellite TV — or who have access to someone else’s login credentials — ESPN is streaming the match on its Watch ESPN website as well as on its iPhone, iPad and Android apps.

Users with certain pay TV providers can also use their provider’s dedicated mobile app, such as Comcast’s Xfinity TV app.

If you don’t have access to a pay TV account, don’t worry. You can still catch all the action live by streaming Univision’s Spanish-language feed to your PC, tablet or smartphone. You might not understand much of the commentary, but at least it’s more enthusiastic than ESPN commentators’ monotone coverage.
