The iPhone 6 models are both rather slim devices, with the phablet version being the thicker one at 7.1mm. Similarly, the Galaxy S6 is expected to have a 6.9mm profile, in line with the 4.7-inch iPhone. But neither Apple nor Samsung is making the slimmest smartphones in the world, at least not for the time being.

FROM EARLIER: This is the thinnest smartphone money can buy

Some smartphone fans might already be familiar with a company called Gionee that recently released two incredibly thin devices, including the Elfie S5.5 and the Elife S5.1, which are just 5.5mm and 5.1mm thick, respectively. Neither model is thin enough for Gionee’s taste, and Chinese publication Anzhuo says that a 4.6mm-thick Android smartphone will be unveiled at Mobile world Congress in early March.

The device is supposedly called Elife S7, and at just 4.6mm thick, it will be 0.2mm thinner than the Oppo R5.

The publication has already posted images of the Elife S7, without revealing any other details. Some of these images follow below, with more of available at the source link.
