In terms of shipment volume, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 is likely the current king of the phablets. Unveiled last fall, the Note 3 was and still is our favorite Samsung handset to date. After spending some time with the Galaxy S5, it seems increasingly likely that the Note 3 will remain our favorite Samsung handset for some time to come — at least until the Galaxy Note 4 launches later this year.
And according to one supposed insider, that launch will come on September 3rd.
Last year, an unnamed source told Android Geeks that the Galaxy Note 3 would be unveiled during a press conference on September 4th, 2013. As some might recall, that indeed ended up being the date on which the Note 3 was unveiled.
Now, that same anonymous source has apparently told the blog that Samsung plans to unveil its next-generation Galaxy Note 4 phablet on September 3rd this year.
Earlier reports suggest that the Note 4 will feature a tweaked design, a quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 5.7-inch quad HD display, a 16-megapixel camera and possibly a currently unannounced version of Android.
