Google’s Alphabet announcement yesterday left a lot of people scratching their heads, at least at first. In the blink of an eye, Google completely restructured the entire company under a parent company called Alphabet, of all names.

While Wall St. is seemingly supportive of the plan — the stock shot straight up immediately following the press release — Microsoft, Google’s friendly rival to the north couldn’t help but have a little bit of fun at the expense of the search giant.

Originally spotted by Search Engine Land, if you go to the website ABC.WTF — a clear play on the ABC.XYZ site Google used to make its Alphabet announcement — you’re immediately whisked away to a Bing search page. Even better, going to ABC.FAIL will also take you straight to Bing’s landing page. Without question, this might very well be the coolest web redirect in history, a nerdy honor if there ever was one.

So is Microsoft officially having fun at Google’s expense? We emailed Microsoft to ask and will update if we hear back. The domain registration listing is private but the IP address points to the Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, Washington.

Well done Microsoft, well done.
