Mobile World Congress is but a few days away and the latest leak fest has made its way around the web, if not a bit behind schedule. With so much mobile goodness coming our way in the next little while this is easily one of our favorite times of the year; a time when we can be forgiven for not taking our AD/HD meds. So what are the latest phones to be let into the VIP area of this amazing party? The Samsung “Eltz” S7220 (pictured above) and “Marcel”. With a slim candybar form factor, the Eltz aims to rock your socks off with a purported 5 megapixel camera, AMOLED display, aGPS, the obligatory tag-team duo of MP3 playback/expandable memory and finally the hit or miss proprietary Samsung dumb phone UI.

An update to the lacklustre J700, all we know about the Marcel is that it has a 2 megapixel shooter and, gasp, a 2.2″ display. Whoop-de-doo. Anyway… There’s no word as to what the rest of the specs for these two phones are or what they have to offer in terms of connectivity, but we’re gonna go out on a limb here and say that it doesn’t really matter because most of the people who are going to lust after these phones are going to want them solely because they’re cheap on contract. Oh, and since the past few days have been pretty heavy in terms of Samsung content, we have to say that we’re getting a bit tired of its rehashing the same old designs. A new direction would be amazing, Sammy.
