There are still a few days left until the Super Bowl, but it looks like a winner has already been decided. Continuing a proud tradition that has been giving football fans anxiety attacks for years, EA Sports has simulated the Super Bowl matchup of 2015 with Madden 15 in order to predict a winner.

And unlike the prediction for Super Bowl XLVI, Madden actually thinks the Patriots are going to pull this one out. According to the prophetic video of the game, the Patriots will come from behind to win the Super Bowl 28-24 in the game’s final moments.
Cortana has also had her say, giving the Patriots an even thinner margin of victory with a final score prediction of 24-23.
As Yahoo notes, Madden actually has a surprisingly good track record of 8-3 when it comes to Super Bowl predictions, but last year was definitely a lowlight for the simulation. In 2013’s Madden NFL 25, the Broncos edged out the Seahawks by 3 points in a 31-28 victory. In reality, the Broncos got stomped 43-8.
Can the Seahawks overcome the Madden prediction two years in a row? Can they do it in a similarly emphatic fashion in 2015? We’ll have to wait until Sunday to find out, but if the game is even half as exciting as Madden and Cortana are predicting it to be, we’re in for a much more competitive Super Bowl this year.
