The leather-bound smartphone you never knew you wanted begins shipping this week. LG announced on its website on Monday that the G4 will roll out to consumers in key markets in the coming days, including Hong Kong, Turkey and Russia, with rollouts coming to the rest of Europe, North America and other territories throughout the month of June.

“The LG G4 is our most ambitious smartphone yet because it is unlike any other flagship mobile phone on the market today,” said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company.
“Our vision is to create our own set of standards without worrying about what trend other smartphones are following. We think we have a winning formula because the initial reaction to the G4 has been tremendously positive.”
In our hands-on impressions, we called the G4 “one of the most technologically advanced smartphones the world has ever seen,” and although it’s facing an uphill battle against the Galaxy S6, Android users are going to want to investigate carefully before choosing a new phone this generation.
Pricing information and release dates for U.S. carriers have not been revealed yet, but we’ll be keeping an eye out over the next few weeks as the flagship phone makes its way westward.
