Are you the type of person who needs to have a screen of some kind on nearly every piece of furniture you buy? If so then Ideum and 3M have a gadget for you. Hacks & Stuff draws our attention to two new coffee tables created by Ideum and 3M that feature giant touch interfaces of either 32 inches or 46 inches. Why would you need such a giant display? Well, as the demo video for the Android coffee table shows, Angry Birds looks terrific on a big screen. Plus, Ideum thinks it could be a great education tool that could be a real hit in the classroom.

As far as specs go, Hacks & Stuff says that it has a “1080p display that supports up to 60 touch points, a powerful 3.7GHz quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and 500GB of hard drive,” which basically makes it into a giant touch PC that doubles as a coffee table. This sounds pretty sweet, although the device’s $6,950 starting price means that it’s likely out of range for many people, even if they’d want to have one in their living rooms in the first place.

A demo video of the Android coffee table follows below.
