Many companies come up with interesting external battery pack concepts for iPhone and other smartphones before hitting crowd-funding sites such as Kickstarter and Indiegogo looking to raise enough money to turn them into commercial products. But even with all the different battery pack options to choose from, Power Pratical’s Pronto battery pack appears ready to offer you something quite special.

Pronto has already smashed through its initial $50,000 funding goal on Kickstarter, as it has passed $101,000 in pledges with 28 days left in the campaign. The battery pack needs only 5 minutes of charging to get enough energy to fully charge an iPhone 5’s 1,440mAh battery, along with other devices with similar battery capacity.

Unlike other competing devices, the Pronto charges very quickly, as it can handle 25Watts (Pronto 5) and 60Watts (Pronto 12) of power.

The 4,500mAh Pronto 5 packs a high-power 2.4A USB port that can charge the iPhone 6 models even faster than previous-generation iPhones, while the 13,500mAh Pronto 12 has two 2.4A USB ports and a 12V port compatible with laptops and DSLR cameras (via a standard car adapter).

The smaller Pronto 5 costs from $59 to $79 on Kickstarter (regular price is $99), while the Pronto 12 is priced at $99 to $119 (regular price is $149). Shipping will start in March for the smaller gadget, and in May for the bigger model.
