Following the numerous iPhone 6 leaks showing the front sapphire glass panel, the back metal case, and other components, a new photo has emerged, showing what’s said to be the LCD and home button bracket for the iPhone 6. Taiwanese publication Apple.Club.tw has obtained the blurry image from an unspecified source, although the actual LCD component of the handset hasn’t been photographed.
FROM EARLIER: Watch someone break the iPhone 6′s unbreakable sapphire screen
There are several differences between this rumored iPhone 6 component and the same iPhone 5s part, including a different home button structure and cutouts in at least three of the four corners. 9to5Mac speculates that the part might actually belong to the Amazon Fire phone, which has tracking cameras in all four corners, but also says the component could fit other leaked iPhone 6 parts leaked in previous weeks, including front and back panels.
Assuming it’s accurate, the leaked component may fit the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model, which is the dominant iPhone 6 model when it comes to leaks. Apple is expected to launch at least two iOS handsets this year, a 4.7-inch model and a 5.5-inch iPhone 6 version, sometimes dubbed as the iPhone Air. Apple’s 2014 iPhones are expected to be unveiled in early September and launch later that month.
The leaked image follows below, while an iPhone 5s iFixit teardown showing the same component from various angles is available at this link.
