During its latest earnings call, Apple revealed that it’s selling every iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus it can make, suggesting that some buyers might not be able to get their desired iPhone 6 model in time for the holidays, as the company wasn’t sure when it’ll be able to catch up with demand. Since launching the new iPhones, Apple’s estimated shipping times for orders placed on its online store reached seven to ten business days for the iPhone 6 and up to four weeks for the iPhone 6 Plus, no matter what capacity versions, colors, or carrier options, without seeing any improvement.

FROM EARLIER: You don’t have to wait until Black Friday for Walmart’s hot iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 sales

However, Apple is slowly catching up with demand, and even though it still can’t ship you an iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus as soon as you order it, the company has improved shipping times for various models, especially for the bigger 5.5-inch iPhone 6 model, as follows:

  • 16GB iPhone 6: 5-7 business days
  • 64GB iPhone 6: 7-10 business days
  • 128GB iPhone 6: 7-10 business days
  • 16GB iPhone 6 Plus: 7-10 business days
  • 64GB iPhone 6 Plus : 2-3 weeks
  • 128GB iPhone 6 Plus: 3-4 weeks

Instead of ordering an iPhone from Apple’s online store, interested buyers could also check with carriers and other retailers, especially considering that some electronics stores have planned various iPhone 6 Black Friday deals — too see more details about Black Friday 2014 sales, check our special sales hub.
