Interest in Apple’s (AAPL) much rumored iPad mini tablet seems muted compared to typical Apple device launches, but the show must go on nonetheless. Apple’s newest mobile device is now available in the United States starting at a hefty $329, and while launch-day preorder inventory did sell out in under four days, additional iPad mini stock will be available at Apple Stores across the country. Featuring a 7.9-inch low-resolution display, the iPad mini has taken heat for launching with lighter specs than its competitors at a higher price point. Early reviews noted that the fantastic build quality Apple is known for shines on the iPad mini though, and while the tablet’s display is “terrible” compared to Apple’s Retina-equipped devices, it’s still provides a terrific experience.
