On top of everything else Apple announced and released on Tuesday afternoon, the company managed to slip out the new iOS 7.0.3 update that packs some important features and fixes. BGR exclusively reported that iOS 7.0.3 had been seeded to employees and partners weeks ago, and now it’s finally in all of our hands. iCloud Keychain support is a nice addition and we already reported that the motion effects making some users feel sick can now be disabled, but another important fix was issued as well. Every single iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c on the planet had been plagued with an issue where improper sensor calibration caused incorrect compass and level readings. This was obviously a huge issue but as VentureBeat reports, “sensorgate” is now a thing of the past and sensor calibration in the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c has been corrected. iOS 7.0.3 is available immediately as an over-the-air (OTA) update, and it can also be downloaded through iTunes.
Added bonus in iOS 7.0.3: iPhone 5s ‘sensorgate’ is over
