Watch out, HTC — the honor of having launched the best Android smartphone in the world might not be yours for very long. The new HTC One (M8) completely blew us away when it debuted last week with its gorgeous metal design and its powerful specs. As it turns out, however, another Asian phone maker is rumored to be prepping a beastly Android device that may completely blow the One out of the water.

Following a string of rumors that pointed to powerful specs and a huge quad HD display, a photo of what is claimed to be the aluminum housing from the Huawei Ascend P7 has been posted by a Weibo user. The photo can be seen below.

As can be seen in the image, the P7 appears to be a sleek metal phone with smooth lines and an integrated fingerprint scanner beneath the rear camera.

Earlier rumors suggest the phone will also include incredible specs highlighted by a 5-inch quad HD (1,440 x 2,560) display and an eight-core processor clocked at 2GHz. There is currently no word on when the new Huawei Ascend P7 might launch.
