A report from Digitimes on Monday reaffirmed earlier rumors that HTC is planning to launch a smaller version of its flagship smartphone in the coming months. The HTC One mini is expected to be equipped with a 4.3-inch 720p display, a 1.4GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor and an Ultrapixel rear camera. The smartphone will also reportedly feature an all-metal body, front-facing speakers and Sense 5 atop Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. According to Digitimes’ sources, the HTC One mini will launch sometime in the third quarter and will be positioned as a mid-range or even high-end smartphone. The same sources claimed Apple’s entry-level iPhone will also launch in Q3, along with cheaper alternatives from Lenovo and Huawei. Earlier reports suggested the HTC One mini would arrive on AT&T in August.
