Even though rumors detailing an HTC One (M8) Prime phablet were quickly shot down earlier this year, HTC may have such a device in the works after all, TKTechNews has learned. Unsurprisingly, the device will be part of the One Max phablet family, although, unlike its predecessor, the handset should come with high-end specs on board.
According to the information revealed by unnamed sources, the phone will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor and will not have a fingerprint reader, as the first HTC One Max model did. The HTC One (M8) Max will apparently look like the HTC One (M8) flagship when it comes to design, but sport a bigger display.
The new HTC One Max is in testing at this point, the publication says, and there are no launch details available for it.
Considering that HTC’s main rivals are getting ready to announce brand new devices to attack the holiday season with, including Apple, Samsung, Sony, LG and Motorola, it wouldn’t be surprising to see come out with a new high-end handset of its own.
