Kodak Alaris on Wednesday announced a new iPad app that will let users quickly create and print photo books from their images, offering them a same day in-store pick-up feature that may certainly come in handy on some occasions. Kodak Moments HD is now available as a free download from the App Store for iPads running iOS 7.0.1 or later.

The app features an intuitive interface, Kodak’s Perfect Touch Enhancement technology, which help users improve their pictures, and the Smartfit technology that preserves the content of images no matter their size. Users will be able to pick images from the iPad’s Photos app, but also from Facebook, Instagram or Flickr, create photo books of any size or quantity, apply effects, and even wirelessly connect to Kodak Picture Kiosks found at Target and Bartell Drugs to order prints. Customers will be able to order their photo books for home delivery as well.

Kodak Alaris already has a similar iPhone app that lets users quickly order prints – the My Kodak Moments app, which is also available as a free download from the App store. An Android version of Kodak Moments HD will be available in the future, with Kodak Alaris planning more features for the app that will arrive in upcoming updates.
