This awesome interactive tool will help you improve any phone’s battery life

Ask a smartphone user what aspect of his or her phone is most in need of improvement, and “battery life” will be the answer you hear more often than not. Whether it’s a brand new iPhone 6 or any recent Android smartphone, battery performance is never quite where we want it to be. The simple fact of the matter is battery technology just isn’t progressing quickly enough to keep up with all of the new technology vendors are now stuffing into their smartphones.

Of course, there are plenty of ways to help squeeze as much battery life as possible out of each charge.

We always try to share helpful tips and tricks when it comes to extending battery life on smartphones, but often times it’s difficult to find a single source of good information for a wide range of smartphones. For example, some tricks that work for phones with AMOLED displays like Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5 might not work for Apple’s iPhone lineup.

But now, there’s a new interactive tool that will help you improve your phone’s battery life regardless of which handset you use, whether it’s an Android phone, an iPhone, a Windows Phone or a BlackBerry.

Created by U.K.-based online electronics retailer liGo, the new tool is packed full of tips aimed at extending battery life. Simply select your handset manufacturer and model, and the interactive widget will make various suggestions. Of course, some of the suggestions are more useful than others, but there are definitely some helpful battery-saving ideas to be found.
