You can now download the completely redesigned Gmail app for Android 5.0

After being teased in previous reports, Google’s redesigned Gmail Android app (version 5.0) is available for download, Android Police reports, complete with Material Design and exchange support.

Just like many other Google apps that have been updated for Android 5.0 Lollipop, Gmail features the same flatter design elements, colors and animations you expect to see from Material Design apps.

In addition to the visual changes, Gmail 5.0 also introduces several new features, including support for \exchange accounts and support for multiple inboxes, including email services from the competition, such as Outlook and Yahoo Mail. However, the publication does note that Google’s Inbox by Gmail users shouldn’t expect support for exchange or Google Apps accounts just yet.

Gmail 5.0 for Android is available to manually download and install on your device (see source link below), in case you haven’t already received the update from Google.
