Yeah, you read that correctly. It is now possible to run a version of Palm’s Garnet operating system on your favorite N-Series internet tablet device. We have no idea why anyone would want to go and ruin a perfectly good OS by slapping the Palm software on top of it, but hey, different strokes, right? To be fair, this is only possible by way of a clever bit of coding that allows for a virtual system to be installed on top of your N770, N800, or N810. This is an offical Access release, though. Making it even more appealing is the fact that it is completely free. Currently available as a beta product, the software should hit a full-scale release by the end of the year. With the impending release of the oh-so-nice N810, we could really see this this turning into a viable alternative to anyone that relies on the Palm OS but can’t take another Treo. Enjoy!
