By all accounts, the upcoming new Galaxy S6 will absolutely be the Samsung smartphone we’ve been waiting years to see. And in just a few short weeks, it will finally be here. We have seen tons of leaks and rumors at this point, and unless this is all some sort of elaborate ruse, we already know just about everything there is to know about the Galaxy S6.
And now, BGR readers are about to enjoy an exclusive new look at Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone for 2015.
DON’T MISS: Apple Pay hits its first major hurdle
A recent leak gave us what is likely our best look yet at Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S6 smartphone. The leak originated from third-party smartphone case maker Verus, which is based in South Korea and reportedly has inside connections at Samsung.
Now, BGR has obtained Galaxy S6 case renders from another third-party case maker, and they firm up the notion that the design we have seen leak several times now is accurate.
These new images show cases being made for the Galaxy S6 by OBLIQ, a California-based smartphone case maker known for its sleek designs that don’t forego performance in terms of protection. The cases seen here certainly appear to be in the same vein as its earlier work, though these new cases are particularly thin to compliment the Galaxy S6’s beautiful design.
Also seen in the renders is the Galaxy S6 itself, along with reaffirmation that the handset will measure just 6.9 millimeters thick.
An earlier exclusive BGR report stated that the Galaxy S6 will feature a large quad HD display, a 64-bit octa-core processor, a 20-megapixel rear camera, up to 128GB of internal storage, a brand new mobile payment system called Samsung Pay, and Android Lollipop. We also reported that the phone will feature a premium housing made entirely of aluminum and glass.
