If you’re hankering for a new smartphone but you don’t like any of the skins that vendors such as Samsung and HTC have put onto Android, then don’t fret: Google has you covered. The “Google editions” of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC One are now available for preorder on the Google Play store. Both devices run on the stock version of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and both will ship by July 9th. The Google edition of the HTC One is selling for $599.99 while the Google edition of the Galaxy S4 is selling for $649.99. Google has started releasing versions of popular smartphones with stock Android as a way to give users more options to buy smartphones off contract and without all the added features that manufacturers normally load onto their devices.
