Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 4 smartphone on Wednesday at IFA 2014 but it never actually revealed when the device will be launched other than saying it’ll be available in U.S. in early October. But a new report from Dutch publication Galaxy Club seems to indicate the actual release date of the phablet, and from the looks of it potential buyers may have to wait more than a month to get it.

The publication says the phone is already available for preorder from at least four local retailers, all listing October 10th as the launch date for the handset. What’s more, all carriers are offering off-contract prices for Samsung’s next flagship between €795 and €799.
Assuming the date is accurate, then October 10th may turn out to be the Galaxy Note 4’s European launch date, if not its international launch date (U.S. included).
As for the listed price for Europe, this seems to indicate a $799 price for the U.S., a cost that’s not surprising at this particular moment in time when certain retailers try to take advantage of early buyers following a gadget’s official announcement. PhoneArena further notes that the Galaxy Note 4’s price seems to match the preorder price of last year’s Galaxy Note 3, and that its on-contract price should be around $299 – other reports have also claimed that the Galaxy Note 4 won’t be more expensive than its predecessor.
The official off-contract price of the handset is likely to be lower than $799 in the U.S., where the four major mobile operators and U.S. Cellular have all confirmed plans to carry the handset.
However, while AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint and Verizon have all listed published pre-registration pages for the Galaxy Note 4, they’re yet to reveal pricing details and launch dates for the handset. Sprint does say the phone is coming in October, while T-Mobile is hosting a special contest with a grand prize of a Galaxy Note 4, a Gear Circle an S View Flip Cover and a Gear smartwatch, a total package valued at up to $1,329.96.
