In the golden age of television, there are too many incredible shows for any one person to keep up with all of them. Therefore, I’d completely understand if you happened to miss Fargo on FX in 2014, but with a second season right around the corner, I implore you to catch up as soon as possible.

As you might have guessed, Fargo is based on the acclaimed film by the Coen brothers, though only loosely. None of the actors from the film appear in the series, and the film’s story is only briefly alluded to, but they are set in the same universe, filled with goofy northerners committing heinous acts.
Similar to True Detective, the second season will have an entirely new cast, but will technically serve as a prequel to season one. Some of the recognizable talent that has joined the show for this season include Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons, Nick Offerman and Ted Danson as the sheriff of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
