“It’s no secret that HBO is the single best place for creative people in the entire media landscape,” Simmons said after the deal was announced. “It was hard to imagine being anywhere else.”
Although HBO is best known for its television series such as Game of Thrones, True Detective and Silicon Valley, it’s also struck gold by pulling away popular media personalities away from other networks.
