Do you still use classic headphones instead of earbuds just because most earbuds tend to fall out of your ears when you’re on the move? If so then you may want to check out a new Kickstarter project called OwnPhones that will let you 3D print earbuds that will fit exactly into your ears’ shape and size.

The earbuds aren’t just custom-made to fit into your ears either because you also have the option of choosing from thousands of different designs for them to fit your fashion tastes. In the video shown below, you can see how different people have designed earbuds of all different kinds of shapes, although some of them admittedly look quite ridiculous — we really can’t imagine wearing the earbuds whose exteriors look like a pair of TWA pilot wings. That said, you don’t have to settle for ugly designs since you’ll be able to make your own.

You can make schematics of your ear by using the OwnPhones official mobile app, which will take a video of your inner ear shape and convert it to 3D data that can be used to print out prototype wireless earbuds. From there you have the option of more than 10,000 different designs you can pick for the headphones’ exterior. You can then link the earbuds to your mobile device using Bluetooth 4.0 technology.

Check out a quick teaser video of OwnPhones and be sure to check out its Kickstarter page for more information by clicking the source link below.
