Best iOS 8 Apps Download

Now that you’ve bought your new iPhone 6 or have installed iOS 8 on your old iPhone, Apple has listed some apps on its App Store that it thinks you should try to take advantage of some key features such as support for third-party keyboards, widgets and extensions. Below we’ve listed 15 of the apps on Apple’s list along with links to their pages on the App Store and brief descriptions.

Epic Zen Garden

Epic Zen Garden is the game that Apple showed off during iOS 8 presentations as a demonstration of the platform’s graphics capabilities.

Opak is an Instagram-style photo editor that features different filters, stickers, fonts and colors you can add to your pictures.

MyScript Stack

As a handwriting app, MyScript Stack lets you use your finger to write messages instead of typing them out on a keyboard.

Swype is one of the many great new keyboard apps that just released to the iPhone with iOS 8.

For those of you who have trouble keeping track of what you’re supposed to be doing, Wunderlist is a great way to make lists and manage your daily tasks.

Modern Combat 5: Blackout

Not to be confused with the classic fighting game Mortal Kombat, Modern Combat 5 is a first-person shooter that brings the thrill of console gaming to your iPhone

Another first-rate keyboard app, SwiftKey also has the advantage of being completely free to download while offering optional in-app purchases.

As we’ve mentioned many times before, 1Password is a great option for anyone who wants to make managing their passwords easy on iOS.

2Do is another terrific personal organization app that will help you list and manage all your important tasks.

Kitchen Stories Cookbook

A wonderful app for all of you chefs out there, Kitchen Stories will give you awesome video and photo recipes right at your fingertips.

This calculator app costs you a hefty $9.99, but PCalc is worth it for being the most comprehensive calculator around and it should be a top choice for anyone who needs to perform complex mathematical operations.

Another keyboard app? Yes, although Fleksy also has the honor of being (for now, at least), the fastest virtual keyboard in the world.

Paper Camera

Paper Camera is a particularly cool photo app that lets you add cartoon and paint effects to your pictures.

Sky Guide

As you might expect from the name, SkyGuide is an astronomy app that helps you learn more about the stars and constellations that happen to be in the sky at any given time.

Camera Plus

And finally, Camera Plus is a camera app that comes with “unique high-end features” such as the ability to shoot pictures via remote control and to intelligently adjust the lighting on your pictures.
