Business users on AT&T who have a serious need for mobile data connectivity but think it a serious waste of cash to have multiple members of a work team outfitted with a mobile data card/stick should rejoice as AT&T has announced it is now carrying two MiFi devices from CradlePoint. First up is the PHS300 Personal WiFi Hotspot. Able to maintain simultaneous data connections for up to 16 802.11b/g connections, the Personal WiFi Hotspot supports WEP and WPA/WPA2 encryption in addition to a built-in firewall and support for NAT and SPI. Then there’s the CTR350 Mobile Broadband Travel Router. Again featuring support for up to 16 devices and the same, the Mobile Broadband Travel Router has all of the same security features as the Personal WiFi Hotspot, but differs in that it is more of a solution to failover redundancy with its ability to automatically connect to AT&T’s HSDPA network in the event one’s ethernet-based data connection goes dead.
