DON’T MISS: Why the Apple Watch is different from all the other garbage we’ve seen so far

How much will it cost?

Here are prices for all major versions of the Apple Watch:

  • Apple Watch Sport – 38mm: $349
  • Apple Watch Sport – 42mm: $399
  • Apple Watch – 38mm: $549 – $1,049 (Prices vary based on watch band)
  • Apple Watch – 42mm: $599 – $1,099 (Prices vary based on watch band)
  • Apple Watch Edition: $10,000 — $17,000

Basically, anyone who wants a device for pure functional purposes can get one for $400 or less. If you want one for a status symbol, however, you can spent up to $17,000 on it.

When can I order one?

You’ll be able to preorder the Apple Watch starting on April 10th and it will start shipping on April 24th.

What will its battery life be like?

Apple says the device will last for 18 hours per charge with “moderate” use, although we’ll have to see how well this holds up when the device finally comes out. You’ll be able to charge the watch using a special MagSafe charging port that will be more convenient to use than a typical iPhone or iPad Lightning cable.

Is it waterproof?

No. It is officially rated as “splash resistant,” which means you should not take it into the shower or swim with it.
