With the iPhone 6s and iOS 9 poised to launch in the coming days, now equipped with the ability to utilize ad-blocking software, a new era of mobile surfing has begun… But on Tuesday, the Adblock developers decided to get a head start by launching their own official mobile browser for iPhone and iPad — a standalone product that’ll keep your browsing session secure and ad-free.

“Browse free of annoying ads on your iPhone and iPad with the most popular ad blocker for desktop browsers,” Eyeo, the company behind the massively popular Adblock Plus software writes in the App Store description. “Simple to use, private and secure, Adblock Browser also saves you data and uses less battery.”
The browser has also been available in beta form on Android for several months, but officially launched on Google Play today as well. No matter what operating system you’re using, you can give Adblock Browser a spin.
In regards to the timing of the launch, Eyeo tells VentureBeat that they’ve “been developing Adblock Browser for months, long before Apple made the announcement about iOS 9,” although it makes sense that the team might have expedited the launch date with iOS 9 on the horizon.
Eyeo is also planning to release a solution that will be compatible with the standard Safari browser, but didn’t specify what shape that solution might take.
