We’ve heard rumblings for a while that Apple will be adding some cool features to the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 that will make people more willing to shell out extra cash for the bigger device. Among other things, the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 has been tipped to feature a much larger battery and may also feature a sapphire display that you won’t see on every version of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6. Now MacRumors brings us some new leaked pictures from Feld & Volk showing that Apple might add yet another great feature to the bigger iPhone that photography fans in particular will enjoy.
In the picture above, we can see the 5.5-inch iPhone 6’s camera on the left and the iPhone 5s’s camera on the right. MacRumors writes that because the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 camera assembly “has some freedom to float within its module,” this likely means that it will come with optical image stabilization (OIS) technology, which produces higher quality videos and works better in dimly lit areas than the digital image stabilization technology that Apple has traditionally used for the iPhone’s camera.
Furthermore, MacRumors writes that “Feld & Volk indicates the 5.5-inch camera module does not fit in the 4.7-inch rear shell the firm has on hand, suggesting the two iPhone 6 models will use different camera modules.”
