One of the best things about Pokemon Go is that is has people getting out of their houses and out into the world. Even if your house or apartment happens to be sitting next to a PokeStop, you’re only going to find so many Pokemon by sitting on the couch, so going outside and walking around is really your only option.
But wouldn’t it be nice if your shoes could do more than just transport you from point A to point B? What if they could tell you when a Pokemon appeared?
DON’T MISS: This brand new Pokemon Go map tracker actually works
Meet the Vixole Matrix, “a customizable e-sneaker with a built-in display” that syncs up with your phone and vibrates whenever a Pokemon is nearby. The shoe features 9 sensors that respond to motion and sound, and the small LED display can be programmed to show virtually any image you can imagine.
Although the Pokemon Go functionality might be the most exciting feature for obsessed gamers, the shoe will also interact with your phone in more traditional ways, including alerting you when you receive an email or text message.
Sadly, you can’t run out and buy these shoes today, but Vixole plans to launch a Kickstarter in September in order to fund the shoes and begin producing them.
