Bob Mansfield, Apple’s longtime senior vice president of technologies, is no longer on the company’s executive team and is instead working on “special projects” under CEO Tim Cook. Per MacRumors, Apple removed Mansfield’s profile from its executive team page over the weekend and Apple has since confirmed that Mansfield will stay with the company to work on unspecified projects. Mansfield had already retired from his post as an Apple executive once but came back after the departure of former iOS boss Scott Forstall. Apple has not announced any plans to replace Mansfield as senior vice president of technology.
