Seven months. That’s how long we expected to have to wait for the seventh season of Game of Thrones. Unfortunately, thanks to the fact that winter has finally descended upon Westeros, we’re going to have to wait a bit longer to see what happens to all of our favorite characters on TV’s most pirated show.
Thankfully, it sounds like season 7 will be worth the wait.
DON’T MISS: We finally know something important about ‘Stranger Things’ season 2
Last night, Maisie Williams (aka Arya Stark) took to Twitter to announce that she had finished reading the scripts for season 7. Although she (understandably) didn’t share any specific details about the highly anticipated season, she did say that fans should “start preparing” themselves now, before admitting that “nothing will prepare you” for what happens this year on the show:
just finished reading season 7

i'd start preparing yourselves now

scratch that, nothing will prepare you for this

holy BALLS

Now, Williams, being a cast member on the show, isn’t exactly an unbiased source of hype. But considering how long we have to wait before we’re likely to hear anything substantial about the new season, we’ll take what we can get.
That said, there’s little doubt in any fan’s mind that season 7 will be one of the most exciting yet. Not only is it confirmed to be the second-to-last season of the show, but we can also expect to see the White Walkers finally go to war with the armies of The Known World. The White Walkers are tough, but I have a feeling that a certain trio of dragons might be able to put up a fight.
Game of Thrones season 7 debuts next summer on HBO.
